Although the snow had stopped outside, the wind was still bitterly cold as I stepped onto the sidewalk. Deciding against taking the car, I flipped up my collar and started to walk down the street. I woke up and stretched my arm out to hold Jess. I was looking for an angel but all I grabbed was the cold air next to me. I sighed and opened my eyes. The storm outside was over now and the sky had let the sun shine again. The city was still white with snow but it wouldn't last much longer, the murky white layers already starting to melt. Stepping out of the car I turned my face away from the biting wind and started to walk towards the café. The snow was falling thick now and it was already settling on everything it touched, covering everything in a pale white. Except the man in black making his way across the street. Me.

Only a day had gone by since Sean's death, but with everything that had happened since then, it seemed like a lot longer. A lot longer without doing anything about it.

I'd made a promise to myself that morning to find who did that and to make sure that they meet up with Sean again. A vendetta of sorts really. But I hadn't done anything yet. I couldn't have. I had to give this time. Rushing things would be a dangerous choice, and judging from what I saw at Sean's, very dangerous. So take your time I tell myself. Get some rest. Some sleep.
